State of Good Repair and Livability Awards Announced

This summer, Community Transportation Association of Idaho (CTAI) and Idaho Transportation Department – Division of Transportation Performance (ITD-DTP) staff worked diligently to provide technical assistance to transportation providers around the state in applying for the FTA’s State of Good Repair and Livability funding opportunities. Several webinars were hosted and information was distributed to agencies that were interested in pursuing these funding opportunities.

Both CTAI and ITD-DTP staff were available for technical assistance throughout the short application period and ITD-DTP staff submitted the final statewide grant application. More than $2.3 million of that funding was awarded to Idaho! The projects funded include a bus shelter, two transit centers, vehicles, and several technology projects.

We are very excited that Idaho received funding in support of these important projects,” said Heather Wheeler, Executive Director of CTAI, “According to transportation statistics, for every $1 invested in transportation projects, $4 is generated in benefits to the community – which is great newsin this economy for Idahoans.”
