Proposed Intercity Service from Bonners Ferry to Boise Needs Input from Idahoans
CTAI Partners with Idaho Transportation Department to Gather Public Comment
Boise, Idaho, 05/21/2012 — The Idaho Transportation Department – Division of Transportation Performance has partnered with the Community Transportation Association of Idaho’s (CTAI) to gather public input on a proposed intercity transit route from Bonners Ferry to Boise, for 2013 service.
“We are soliciting comments regarding intercity bus services from Bonner’s Ferry south to Boise, to ensure that the services provided along this corridor meet the needs of its riders and the communities through which service will be provided,” said Heather Wheeler, CTAI Executive Director.
CTAI is a statewide non-profit membership organization that advocates for and empowers individuals and communities to develop transportation systems they need for economic vitality and quality of life. CTAI works to provide people in Idaho the freedom to choose from a variety of connected, convenient, and cost-effective transportation options – including park and rides, car and van pools, bike and walking paths, shuttles, and improved public transportation options. This public comment period is an opportunity for Idahoans along that corridor to provide their thoughts about costs, scheduling, stops, comfort, safety, or anything else important to inter-city bus service.
